My Story
From diagnosis
to the finish line
First and above all, I give all the glory to God — He was and continues to be ahead of every single step of this journey. His grace has been present in every moment, and I am deeply aware that none of this would be possible without Him.
"In early 2025, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The news was hard to receive, but my faith was greater than my fear. I went through surgery, and the results were remarkable — the procedure was a complete success.
What happened next surprised even my doctors. Thanks to a lifestyle built around physical activity — running, training and dedication — my recovery was extraordinary. In just 7 weeks I was back on the trail, running again.
From surgery day to early 2026, I had already run more than 800 kilometers. This 64km challenge on my 64th birthday is my way of saying thank you — to God, to life, to health, and to everyone who walked beside me through it all."
